Privacy policy
We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This policy explains how we use the information we collect about you, how you can tell us if you would rather we limited that use, and the procedures we have in place to safeguard your privacy.
It covers the Neptune Navigation apps on Google Play (Neptune Tidal Planner, Neptune Tides, and Neptune Wrecks & Streams), the Neptune Navigation desktop software, and how we handle direct sales and customer support records.
Android apps
The apps use your device location to show your position on the chart and for navigation. Location is used on the device only. It is not collected, stored on our servers, or transmitted to us or anyone else.
The apps have no user accounts and do not collect your name, email, or contact details. They do not collect or store payment information. Any Android app subscription is purchased and managed through Google Play, and payment is handled entirely by Google. We never receive your card details.
Desktop software for the PC
Neptune Navigation desktop applications do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. They contain no analytics, no crash reporting, and no tracking of any kind.
Direct purchases and customer support
If you buy from us directly, rather than through Google Play, payment is processed by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, who handle your payment details under their own privacy policy. We do not see or store your card details.
When you contact us for support or purchase from us directly, we keep a record of that correspondence and your licence details in a private database held locally on our own equipment, so that we can provide support and honour your licences. Neptune Navigation does not maintain any online database of customer records, and this information is not published, shared, or sold. We do not sell your data to anyone.
We do not keep, store, or process information gathered in our conversations or follow up emails, as we regard that as your private data. Our database is stored on our own private network and is password encrypted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. For the apps, we hold no account and no personal data on our servers. For the desktop software, we hold nothing at all. For direct sales and support, contact us and we will provide or delete what we hold.
